Are they "slimmer" in any way (ie, lets you install the apps without the creative cloud) or are the creative cloud components so interwoven with the apps at this point that the bloat MUST come with? Also, m0nkrus just released Adobe 2021 apps, how safe are they? I can't imagine they'd be as safe as downloading install files straight from Adobe, but the upside is very attractive (these are offline versions that never need to go online to emulate AMT, right?) What do you know about it? I'm not sure if it lets you download your files straight from Adobe or not, and if so, how this solution differs from ANTEmu.)Īs someone who doesn't use the Adobe Cloud at all, or even shares assets between the apps themselves, I could honestly do away with all the bloat. CCMaker was a thing back when I was using ANTEmu, I'm surprised to see it still around. (Went scouring Reddit for more answers, and found CCMaker appears to also be a viable solution, similar to ANTEmu, perhaps even a worthy successor. Not sure if this is still the case, or how safe ANTEmu is to use today versus yesterday. Because IIRC, ANTEmu only worked up to Adobe 2016 or 2018. So not sure if this is the same old product I was using (from half a decade ago) or if someone picked up where PainteR left off. I also assume the AMTEmu solution enables automatic updates, whereas the m0nkrus one is more monolithic (no updates). since at first glance, it would seem safer to download the main installation files straight from Adobe (and patching them w/ something like AMTEmu). I guess the choice might come down to how much one trusts m0nkrus didn't slip in anything potentially malicious that has yet to be found & exposed.
